I’m sharing everything I’ve learned over the past decade, pulling from my own experience in learning how to start a blog that now earns a consistent $30,000/mo or more (on the side of my day job)—from online sources like affiliates, courses, freelancing, sponsorships, drop-shipping and other ways to make money online that we’re exploring in this guide. 2. InboxDollars – InboxDollars is similar to Swagbucks, since you’re going to be taking surveys, shopping, etc., so if you want to maximize your return, sign up with both websites. They also offer a search engine that pays you (like Swagbucks) and you get $5 just for signing up. I won’t continue to list survey sites one after another down the list, but if you want to get paid to take surveys, also check out GlobalTestMarket, E-Poll Surveys and Survey Club.

I wish everybody was just more for the love of artists. I wish everybody understood that you can't get mad when an artist shows love to a specific platform or a specific thing. That's the point of being an artist. You're one of many platforms. They're going to show you love. You can't be stingy about it. It's about the artist at the end of the day, not the platforms or the people in the industry. It's just all about the artist and the music. People care more about that than the business side of it.
Of course, it's at the worst time, because all this corona shit's going on and the George Floyd stuff and everything. No one wants to work right now. Nobody's really sending verses. Nobody's really wanting to get in the studio. Some studios are shut down. So Swae was in Miami and—shout out my boy Resource—he FaceTimed me and Swae. Then Swae was like, "Yo, they told me you wanted to get in the studio. I've got to be on your album, bro." Come to find out, Swae has actually been following me on Twitter for like six years. I had no idea. After we get off FaceTime, he just DMs me. He's like, "Bro, I'm serious. Don't turn this album in without me." So, we got in the session literally the next day. Internet Money
The music industry might not be as strong as it was in the 80s, but there are still plenty of ways to make money online as a musician. Rather than making money through subscriptions, YouTube channels are based on a traditional advertising system. Meaning the more viewers you get, the more you make. Once you’re approved for the YouTube Partner Program and can start including ads on your videos, with every 1,000 views, you will make approximately $2-$4. Which might not seem like a lot, but if you have 100 videos with 5,000 views a month each, that would be $1,000–$2,000 already. Just imagine if your videos start hitting millions of views!
If you upload photos of yourself, or friends/family with consent, it's worth going for the 'rights managed' licence option – otherwise you'll have little to no control over how your images are used (eg, you could star in an ad for haemorrhoid cream). See Alamy's page on understanding stock image licensing for more on the different types of licences. Online Income

Just to have this fucking song out is the craziest shit to me right now, especially with Cole doing the video. I didn't know if that would happen. And Cole said he really loved the song. He had the album before anybody, and he came to me in the trailer at the video shoot. He was like, "Bro, I just want to let you know, I'm listening. I love it. It's a really good album." So I think if anything, this whole "Lemonade" shit brought the relationship between Internet Money and Lyrical Lemonade together a little closer. I think we're the two collectives pushing the culture a little bit, and developing artists, and breaking artists, and finding different ways to do shit. We just do it on the music side, and they do it on the video side. This is going to be the first of many things we're going to do together. I'm excited to see what all comes from it.
If you love to travel and find yourself randomly searching for airfare sales or browsing Lonely Planet, why not carve out a niche for yourself as a private travel agent? My friend, Mark Jackson did just that, making extra money online with his travel consulting side business. Start with word of mouth recommendations from friends who know they can count on you for the cheapest flights, and then move on and create a Facebook or LinkedIn group to invite people who want to stay on top of the latest deals. Eventually you could spin this into a full-time consultancy teaching people how to make their dream trips a reality.
What It Is: Transcription essentially involves you listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. Easy enough, right? Companies usually hire transcriptionists without much experience, so some job postings might only require you to have a computer and keyboard to get started. Transcription jobs can vary from transcribing a college lecture to a doctor's medical dictation, while most companies allow you to make your own schedule.

Taz Taylor: I think it's exactly the same thing we're doing. They think the same way we do, and they move similarly. They don't care about labels or budgets or funding. They just care about finding artists they fuck with and putting them on. They're going to do everything possible and exhaust all options to put these artists on and blow them up. They don't depend on anybody, and they still get the job done at the end of the day. That's the same way we are. That's why we're so powerful. We rely on ourselves. Our paths are very similar. It's just two different worlds.
You don’t have to start your own online business from scratch. Instead, you can build one (very quickly) by helping out people who already have a successful business. Every service business has a long list of past clients they’re most likely not doing a good job of keeping up with—but their neglect is your opportunity. It’s up to 5x more expensive to attract a new customer than it is to keep an existing one. By helping businesses follow-up and bring back their old customers, you’re saving them money (and making your own!). A follow-up business like this can be as simple as a series of emails you write for a client to help them bring back old customers (check out this step-by-step guide for videos and example pitches). All you need is some writing skills, time to research and craft an effective outreach campaign to prospects in a profitable niche. Work From Home

It’s not the sort of online money making opportunity that’s covered in glory, but everyone needs a set of eyes to make sure the numbers add up at the end of the year. Every business and most individuals need someone to help prepare tax returns, especially time or resource-strapped small business owners. The Income Tax School provides an array of training programs that’ll certify you with tax prep in as little as 10 weeks, and once tax season rolls around you’ll be able to charge an average of $229 per return as a freelance tax preparer with this way to make money, reports CNBC. Plus, this skill also creates the opportunity to spin your expertise into a larger online business where you could produce written content, videos, podcast episodes and further niche down into a specific industry like advising on taxes for bloggers.
Here’s a good example of how lead sales can work in real life: My second website, Life Insurance by Jeff, brings in a ton of traffic from people who are searching the web to find answers to life insurance questions. While I used to have the website set up so I could sell these people life insurance myself, it was a lot of work to process all the different requests and clients. As a result, I started selling the leads I gathered instead. Online Income
I don't think it's ever going to leave from the SoundCloud era, because it's so accessible. Until another platform comes around that makes it as easy for artists to put themselves out there, SoundCloud is going to keep running the shit. That's just what it is. Then when you're signed and you have label backing and everything, then it's a DSP and playlisting game. All of that is really important, but it's more about the accessibility to your fans.

So the lesson here is that while you might be working from home now, this might eventually translate into living and working abroad—and living the dream. Opdyke’s advice? “Be as productive as you possibly can. Be over-productive. Step up your game so that when all of this over, you have some potential leverage to talk to your bosses about trying a work-at-home life. That’s assuming, of course, you like your work-at-home life. Not everyone will. But if you feel the freedom those of us working remotely feel, then now, amid this crisis, is a great opportunity for you to shine so that bosses take note.” Work From Home
